Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza is a well-known spot to get good pizza. Their famous “Thick Slice” pepperoni pizza and garlic knots that are known for being one of the best pizzas around. There is usually always a wait to be seated which if you are in the mood for pizza & hungry would not be an issue at all due to the fact that they have good quality food here.
Cost-wise, the portions are it’s very well worth it to try something new.
Overall, I would come back here if I was in the area again. It’s a fairly quick place to eat and has great quality for what you pay for.
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza is the type of place where you go to watch sports, drink beer, and chow down on some mediocre pizza. The atmosphere was not bad but nothing special either, with the typical stuffy bar feel, with TV screens scattered around for your viewing pleasure.
I got wings as an appetizer. They seemed to take a long time but they were nice and crispy, if a bit plain. The Buffalo sauce was good though nothing to write home about.
The pizza I got was the “Meat Nazis”. It had a ton of meat on it which was a plus, but all the different meats didn’t seem to go well together. Some bites tasted like sausage and others like pepperoni.
Overall, it’s a “meh” place that I would probably not go back to if I had other options. It gets the job done for sustenance, but it doesn’t provide anything out of this world.
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza is a small chain that serves coal-fired pizza in both traditional and non-traditional flavors. With one location in almost every state, this restaurant ranks as popular. The pizzas are cooked in an oven fired with coal giving it its characteristic crust and smoky flavor. I’ve been to three locations of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza and all were completely packed with patrons.
The wait is usually short as the kitchen cooks food as you order it. I remember waiting about 15 minutes for my pizza at the time because they were constantly making them fresh. The pizza is delicious, and the price is fair. I recommend it if you are in the mood for pizza.
